Friends response
This is my friend's response to my first movie. Now understand that I am putting down Windows, not my laptop. I love my laptop. :)
Why YOU Should get a Mac!
You will probably need to turn up the volume so you can hear me. I was mumbling(don't know why?)

Cross-Country
My team's cross-country team did really good this year. I guess they did because it was my first year. The boy's team didn't do as well as the girl's team, but we did pretty good. The girl's team got a WHOLE bunch more trophies then we did, like 4 more. But, technically, I am the same speed as some of the top 20 runners of the girl's team, so I guess I(and guys in general) are proportionally better at running then girls. Anyway, our guy's team won 1 trophy. That's it. But it was a home game, sorta. It was at our high school, and we got first. The coach was really proud of how we did, and I got to take home the trophy!(only to take it back to school the next monday) I was normally in the top five of the team in most every race, not overall though. We have off-season practice next week, and with the condition I'm in, doesn't look like I am going to be running any time soon. And we have Spring Track in a couple of months, so be looking forward to future posts about my track records!

I Hurt Myself!
I know it has been a LONG time since I updated, but frankly, I am just lazy. (My excuse for everything, by the way). Anyway, I was playing kickball last Wednesday in PE, and I made an amazing kick.(NOT:)) I ran to first base, and slid into first base very gracefully. Well, it was more like a trip, fall, and hit my face on the gym floor type thing. It ended up my knee hit the first basemen's shin, and that's when I fell. I went to the urgent care center, and they took x-rays and gave me crutches for a couple of days. They were wrong. In a couple of days, my knee was twice its size, my foot was three times its size, and my knee collapsed within seconds of putting weight on it. Today, I missed school to go the hospital to see the surgeon. This man had worked on my dad, dad's friend(twice), that man's son, and many other famous athletes. I had an MRI. That is a story in itself! But we'll talk about that later. I have to go to physical therapy twice a week, which I'm sure will be torture, and can't do anything for a long time. School has been really hard being disabled. I have been getting my friends carry my books, sitting out in PE, and doing other stuff. Now, about the MRI. Before we were in the hospital, my mom's friend radioed my mom. "You need to prepare Matt for the MRI." That's when the alarms went off in my head. "Oh, crap, what have I done!" I was wondering what she meant. I now know. The doctors take you back there and make you take all the metal things off your body. They ask you if you've ever been shot with a bbgun or had any metal inserted in your body. Of course, I am too sheltered to have any of those things done to me. The door is like a foot thick and has four locks on it: a metal bar coming from the ceiling fixed to the door, a little key lock, a large metal box on it, and the handle is a 2 foot long metal bar that has to be forced down. You walk in this room, and the monster takes up half the room. This old decrepid lady walks out pale white. I hop up onto the little bed and put in these earplugs that don't work. The doctor lady is yelling at me like I can't hear her already to put my foot in the little fixture that locks me in. You know its scary when the lady walks out of the room saying"good luck!" and locks all the locks. The little bed moves forward and puts me in the tunnel of doom. I sit there for a couple of minutes, then hear this block of wood fall in the beast. Right after that, WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
WWWEEEAHHAHHAHAEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHAHAHAAEEEEEEHHHHH!!!!!! for five minutes straight. Then when they trick you to think its over, it goes again:
WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!
and again, and again and again. One small detail:
right above my head, which is the only thing out of the tunnel of death, is a small laser fixture pointing at me. Above it reads: Note: Do not stare directly at the laser. It can damage retina and optical nerve. Thanks. Then what am I supposed to look at!
It's over.
The same lady walks in, "You made it!"
Barely.

It's my Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As you can see on my History, I was born July 16th. That was yesterday. The Pintaros came over and had pizza and we swam. I had a great time and I got an iPod Nano. My mom has been the real cook lately. Earlier in the month she made her famous crawfish soup. Last week she made Mexican Lasaugna( Kim Pintaro's recipe). For my birthday my mom made this great dessert called Banana Split Pie (Ginger Pruet's recipe). We have another new member of our family. Her name is Ludmila Myers and she is from Russia. She lives in our basement which is like an apartment. She has all sorts of stories of when she lived in Russia. I am learning piano from her and she is an amazing teacher. Being as nice and kind as she is, she is just like a third grandmother, but not as old. More like an aunt. Another new happening is the Pintaros are moving to Cullman, Alabama. They are going to be country bumpkins in not too long. He was one of my best friends, which he still is, but he is going to be so far away. I have a job now in the shop where my dad works. I work in shipping with Jose Bravo, Ted something, Ben Angle, J.C., Damon something and some more people I don't know of. I am really liking it and am saving up for something I really need. We went to Stone Mountain and had a pretty good time. The Hursts went with us and their uncle and aunt from California, Blake and Clarisse Pettis, went with us. They are both really fun and interesting people. We rode the ducks, went to the laser show, and did all the shops and rides/movies they had. After that we went to Jonesborough, Georgia on the way home. If you haven't seen Gone With the Wind, like me, than you won't have a clue what I am talking about, like me. There was a Gone with the Wind museum with a bunch of stuff (made no sense to me, of course) from the movie. Lots of information on the walls and memoribilia from places and people. I've confused myself already. I don't care to see the movie. Too boring. After the museum, we went to an old replica of Tara, the house. This guy with a big 19th century coat came out and gave us a tour. That was really fun and interesting. We made our way home after all the excitement and it didn't end for me. I ran to Anthony's house(yes, ran) swam with the family. I have joined the crosscountry team at my school. That is where you run a long time in a race down a trail, not on a track. The average race lasts about 3 to 4 miles I guess. It's funny how this post started with talking about my birthday. You all need to keep me up to date on when to post, so email me, please, and tell me when to update. Everybody knows I am lazy.

Lots to Talk About
I have had lots of people tell me to update in the last few weeks. I am now, at school, in newspaper class doing a project on blogs. I guess you would consider this classwork. Well, first, I got a new addition to the family. He is a sun conure, and he is amazing! His name is Sunny, and he looks like a rainbow with wings. He is only about a foot long and under a year old. We have had him now for about a month, and he wakes up screeching his little head off. He will give you a kiss and stepup for now, but he is slowly learining. That kind of bird can talk, but he hasn't yet. Second, in karate I tested and am now a brown belt with one patch. Only two more tests and I will be a black belt!(hopefully) I would like to say Happy Birthday to six people: Graci, Lilly, Stubbs my friend at school, Tyler Pierce, Reagan my cousin, and most of all, my Mom! She turned 22 two weeks ago. (yeah right) She really turned --, the number after the big 4-0. Last year we had a ginormous party at the Macaroni Grill with lots of people, but this year it was small. You know, it is only --.Third, this Summer I am hoping to get a job at my dad's work. I always have nothing to do in the summer, so now I will get money. Fourth, I went to Tyler Pierce's airsoft birthday party, and had a blast. Well, the bell's about to ring, so I got to go!

Belated Pictures of Orlando
I have found some pictures that I forgot to post. My bad. :( I am too lazy to get any more, but if you know a faster way to add pictures, then maybe I will add the rest. Right now, I am at Kyle's house. I am bored so we made some White Chocolate fruit loops. It is really good. My friends and I made it in a couple minutes. Here are the pictures:

An Unhappy Ending to a Happy Vacation
I apologize for being a little bit off on my posting=), but know I am back from being so busy. This past week we went to Orlando, Florida on a 7 day trip. We left on Saturday at 6:00 in the morning and began the 11 hour drive. I watched movies and TV shows on the way down and only got a short nap in the middle. We stayed at the Holiday Inn and watched some television and went to sleep. On Sunday we woke up at 7;( to go to Universal Studios. Here is a list of things we rode there: Mummy, Disaster, Jaws, Twister, Shrek, and NickToon Studios. It was a great park because there were no lines at the beginning of the day! That day I realized I don't like Floridian food. We ate at Fennegans that day and it was nasty! I forgot where we ate dinner that night. Monday, we again were the first ones there at Islands of Adventure. We rode: Spider-Man(4 times), Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls, Flying Unicorn, Popeye and Bluto's Rat Barges, Jurassic Park, and the HULK
!!!!!!!!
That night, we went and saw the Blue Man Group. That was the most amazing show I have ever seen on a stage. I was laughing extremely hard and I will never forget it. Sunday, we stayed at the Calypso Cay, a condo in Orlando, and ventured to Disney Land's Animal Kingdom. I had a high fever and wasn't feeling wonderful. It was cool because we rode on the Safari and saw tons of animals from Africa. There were two trails that you could go off and see more animals from Asia and Africa. We rode the Dinosaur, and that was cool and scary at the same time. I got to pet some goats and see some Tamarins at Rafiki's Planet Watch. We saw the show It's Tough to Be A Bug with Flick the ant. Proceeding Animmal Kingdom at 2:00, I swam in the Condo pool and my Dad cooked out Steak at the Condo grill. Wednesday we left for Daytona Beach. That was the worst hotel in the world. The first thing you see is about a hundred college kids who don't care what they look like or do. We signed in and they gave us the wrong room number because there weren't enough beds and the hall smelled like vomit. We then packed up our stuff and went to the fourth floor on one of their two working elevators. That hall smelled like smoke. The room still wasn't what we asked, but my mom didn't care. The pool was filled to the brim with kids from up north so we went to the beach. Their sand is rock hard and there is no slope to stop the water. From far away, it almost seems like a desert. The water was cold and powerful, knocking me off my feet every time, and all I heard there was screaming and blaring music.
Because of all the negativeness about the place, we left. It was an unhappy ending to a wonderful vacation.
(for all of you who want pictures, that will come in another post later today.)

Happy Birthday!
Saturday, Feb. 2, was my mawmaw's birthday! We went to my cousins and had a great time. For lunch, we had my mom's famous Santa Fe soup, potato soup, and broccoli cornbread. YUM!!! We all wished the birthday girl would cook, but it was her birthday, so we gave her a break. She got a one-hour massage, gift cards to shop with my mom, a hand-made gravy bowl, and something else from San-Diego that my Uncle and Aunt are going to get her. She is so lucky(about the massage and gravy bowl, not the shopping spree!). My mom actually made the cake, and it was delicious! My cousin, Grant, and I played his XBOX and played basketball. That was the day that I actually found out I was sick(what a bummer).I have the Flu as of now, and I feel horrible.

Farm-Land Fun!
In early January, my dad bought us a farm! It is 80 acres with many acres of farmland and the rest woods. It has two ponds, many rock formations, a couple of caves, and an old-fashioned barn. The two ponds' water is EXTREMELY down because of the drought. Our neigbhors are very nice and said that that is the lowest they have been since 1955. There are about 50 bass in the first pond and no food for them, and the second one is deserted. The barn looks like the previous owner had horses and chickens, and it has an amazing hay loft in the top floor. We have partially bushhogged the farm part, and my mom has done most of the work, although I have done part of it. It is more fun than I thought it would be! My dad's cousin, Norm, is building us a 6-acre lake! We are going to put bass, brem, and some catfish in it and it will be our new fishing spot. I got a fourwheeler for Christmas and we have found many trails and are making our own every time we go there. We hope to get a camper to put up there sometime this year. It will be right next to the lake with an amazing view of the water. There is already some barbwire around farm part, but my dad is going to finish it off and hopefully get some cows!
This is the old-styled farm!

My First Post
Hey! This is my first blog EVER! I am so excited about telling you about my life. I was first interested in blogging by my best friend Kim Pintaro's blog. You can find it at http://pintaroadoption.blogspot.com/. She has always been a friend to me and I don't know what I would do without her. I am on her blog every now and then, usually showing Anthony( her son) and me making a fool of ourselves. Stay tuned for new posts in the near future!!
This is the most recent picture of me at Christmas.
